Bucky Dog

Fractional Marketing Manager | 2024–Present

Bucky Dog is a boutique dog walking and boarding service in Marin, CA. When founder Paige transitioned from side hustle to full-time business in 2025, she had a logo and website, but needed strategic marketing support to professionalize the brand, build community trust, and establish a consistent online presence.

As Bucky Dog's one-person marketing department, I handle strategy, execution, and everything in between!

Work Highlights

Brand Evolution: Before vs. After

When I joined, Bucky Dog's fledgling social presence was sporadic and not something Paige had time to focus on. I brought platform best practices, cohesive visual aesthetic, and strategic video content to elevate the brand while maintaining authenticity.

Video Testing as a Strategic Tool

Through video testing, we unlocked key insights about what brand messages resonate: behind-the-scenes moments, Paige's personal story, and real client dogs. This data informed our community-focused content strategy.

Authentic Storytelling as Differentiation

Competitive research revealed a gap: local dog walkers either appeared amateur (inconsistent branding, sporadic social presence) or overly clinical (stock imagery, no personality). In an industry built on trust, neither approach works.

Our strategy: Keep Paige and real client dogs at the center of everything—no stock photos, never AI-generated images. I (somewhat shamelessly) lean into Paige's identity as a local mom and exclusively showcase actual clients in our content, building trust through transparency and community connection.
